Sister Eleanor Piat, OP of the Dominican Sisters of Hope died at The Wartburg, Mount Vernon, New York on April 1, 2020 at the age of 98. She entered the Congregation in 1942, left the congregation in 1968, and returned in 1982. In her reflection at Sr. Joans funeral, Sr. Helen Cahill said, Peace is to be our focus, not revenge. She worked for a few years before entering the Congregation in 1944. We all are joined by the common bond of the faith-filled and holy life and goodness of Sister Mary Kenneth Lane, a Sister of St. Joseph for 79 full and fruitful years. One of her male students of physics noted that she was the best teacher he ever had. As much as she loved education, Sr. Michaeleen felt herself called to health care.
